To cancel trip because of illness

I had to cancel because I was Ill.
I could not transfer the holiday. It made me realise to book flight only I could have cancelled the Hotel myself. If I had booked it.

Issues right from booking, pre booked seats changed twice by airline but charged us twice, booked in online got to airport changed seats again and we were separate and no extra legroom, manager refused to discuss. Flight was on the dirtiest , coldest airplane ever experienced and we flown plenty , even staff said it was such an old plane and always cold.

Accommodation was poor not 4 star and nothing like the photos on jet2 site, the photos they used must have been several years old- unrecognisable. But the worst issue was the horrific stomach churning smell from sewage especially bad on the rooms . The smell got worse from the evening onwards and would wake us up, made us physically sick. Jet2 did nothing to help or keep us updated and have admitted they were aware of the issue pre arrival.
Food and service very poor for what was not a cheap family holiday.
Flight back great but then realised that both of our cases had been damaged, Jet2 agreed it was their responsibility but still waiting for a repair or replacement and have had to borrow some for our next holiday, expensive brand new cases!

Over 12 weeks sine we have registered our complaint with full photos by email and recorded letter still no resolution just automated messages.
Accept things can go wrong and we have been very accommodating to all issues experienced but now out of patience the customer service is an absolute joke and we have not seen any evidence of their so called award winning service. The worst we have experienced in 40 years of travelling, makes us more determined to ensure we get fully compensated the more they stall and will pursue.

Just back from a fabulous holiday at The Raga hotel in Side with my wife. Im writing this review to highlight the excellent service we have had.

From the start of our holiday at East Midlands Airport. We found all Jet2 staff were very helpful and our cabin crew were a fabulous team.
Also, the holiday reps we saw at the airport when we arrived at Antalya to the wonderful one we had based at our hotel.
CANER KONURALP was our rep. Caner visited our hotel numerous times a week. He conducted his self at all times in a very professional manner always happy to advise or sort out any problems guests came to him with.

his vast knowledge of the area being a massive asset for him to pass on to the guests. He certainly is an ASSET to Jet2..

thanks for all your help Caner hoping to see you again.

From when we arrived 16th July realised we had the wrong luggage bag Virgin sent the bag back to the owner we tried three hrs to get in touch with jet 2 also by email tried a number of telephone numbers couldn’t speak to anybody tried for days now today 23rd we are returning to athans airport the end of our holiday worrying to weather we get our bag so cos we couldn’t speak to anybody we are going to try and sort it in athans we need a PIR it’s been a nightmare wish was meant to be the best holiday on a Virgin cruise we don’t know what will happen today fingers crossed they find our bag and we can catch our flight home
